Rigo, the youngest child in a large family, finds himself wearing mostly hand-me-down clothing. When his birthday rolls around, Rigo is thrilled to receive a brand new pair of penny loafers. Unfortunately, the first time he wears them he is teased by another kid in the neighborhood. Now ashamed of his gift, Rigo hides the shoes away. A few months pass name brand child clothing and Rigo finally wants to wear his loafers again only to discover that they no longer fit him. Now Rigo finds himself in the unique position of handing down something valuable himself--an experience which helps him appreciate his own hand-me-down wardrobe. Illustrated with color paintings.
